J. Cole SZN is officially here and it's reportedly starting out in record-breaking fashion.

The title track for his new album KOD has broken Spotify's opening day record for streams of a single song, reports Chart Data. According to their tweet, Jermaine's song was streamed 4.2 million times in the 24 hours following the album's release.

The previous record holder was Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do," which raked in 3.8 million streams the day of its release. Rounding out the top five on the list are Kendrick Lamar's "DNA" (3.6), another KOD track "Photograph" (3.55) and The Weeknd's "Call Out My Name" (3.55).

Drake's "God's Plan" still holds the Spotify record for most streams in a single day with 4.7 million.

Curiously, the KOD song that seemed to get the most buzz was "1985 (Intro to 'The Fall Off')." On the track, Cole sends a strong message to the young generation of rappers. "One day, them kids that's listening gon' grow up/And get too old for that shit that made you blow up," Cole rhymes on the track. "Now your show's lookin' light cause they don't show up/Which unfortunately means the money slow up/Now you scramblin' and hopin' to get hot again/But you forgot you only popped 'cause you was ridin' trends."

Fans were very vocal on social media about the song, sounding off with both positive and negative reactions to the banger. Even Lil Pump appeared to fire back at Cole on Twitter.

If history is any indication, KOD will continue to do numbers and debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 next week.
