The University of Cambridge in England has been criticized in the past for failing to admit minority students, and now, Stormzy is giving four Black students the opportunity to attend the university on a scholarship.

The U.K. rapper announced the launch of the Stormzy Scholarship in London on Thursday (Aug. 16) and revealed the scholarship will pay for tuition fees and provide a maintenance grant for up to four years of an undergraduate course.

The scholarship will be available for two students this year, as well as two more in 2019. "We as a minority are still heavily underrepresented at the top universities and I pray this scholarship serves as a reminder that we are more than capable of studying at places of this caliber," the "Gang Signs and Prayer" artist wrote on Instagram.

To be eligible for the 2018 Stormzy Scholarship, applicants must be of Black ethnicity and be holding an unconditional offer. Applications must be submitted by Aug. 31 and the winning students will be selected by a panel of Cambridge University staff.

Stormzy isn't the first rapper to help students with their college funds. In February, Drake donated $50,000 to a University of Miami student, which was documented in his "God's Plan" video. Nicki Minaj also helped 37 students in July, promising to pay for their college expenses including tuition, books and living expenses.
