Ice Cube's long-teased 10th studio album Everythangs Corrupt may finally see the light of day. The rapper, actor and basketball league founder shared the project's cover on Thursday (Sept. 20).

The art features a bloody hand gripping a blood-stained $100 bill. "Winter is coming..." Ice Cube captioned the image on Twitter and Instagram.

The project would be Ice Cube's first album since 2010's I Am the West and since signing a record deal with Interscope last May. Shortly after inking the contract, Cube dropped a 25th anniversary reissue of his seminal solo album Death Certificate featuring three new songs including the militant "Good Cop Bad Cop." He also released a song with Common titled "Real People" on 2016's Barbershop: The Next Cut soundtrack.

The Los Angeles legend started hyping an album titled Everythangs Corrupt back in 2012. A release date in 2013 was pushed back, as was a new date in 2014, leaving the project in limbo. Ice Cube told XXL in a 2014 interview that the album featured mostly unknown producers, in addition to contributions from longtime collaborators Hallway Productionz. At the time he described the work as vintage gangsta rap.

"The album is not over-political, but there’s political undertones to it," Cube said. "But it's just gangsta rap, talking about things, situations and issues that we dealing with, but just also showing skills and classic Ice Cube."

Yesterday's announcement came the same day that Suge Knight was sentenced to 28 years in prison after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter for the 2015 hit-and-run death of one Terry Carter on the set of the N.W.A. film Straight Outta Compton. Cube was sued for wrongful death by Carter's family but cleared in July of any wrongdoing.
