Chance The Rapper is booked and busy.  Earlier today (Nov. 13), Deadline reported that the Chi-Town rapper is taking his talents to the big screen and is set to create a movie musical alongside his manager Pat Corcoran, MGM, Scott Bernstein and Nico Segal.

Carlito Rodriguez, who is credited for shows such as The Leftovers and Empire, is set to write the script for MGM. Nico Segal, who is also known as Donnie Trumpet, is in charge of music for the movie, which revolves around a group of Chicago teenagers that try to use art to affect change in their community

Speaking with Deadline The Coloring Book rapper's manager Corcoran explained his excitement about bringing this project to life.

"From day one, our mission at Haight Films' has been to apply Haight Brand's artist-first and Chicago-proud ideology to the film space," Corcoran says. "We are incredibly excited to be working alongside Chance, MGM and Scott Bernstein to bring this vision to life."

As if he doesn't have enough on his plate with this musical, Chance will also be starring as a judge on Netflix's first music competition series alongside T.I. and Cardi B when it debuts next year. The first season will span 10 episodes and it will be produced in part by John Legend.

Be on the lookout for both of Chance The Rapper's upcoming projects.
