ORIGINAL STORY:

Juice Wrld is being accused of beat-jacking by a 16-year-old producer.

On Wednesday (Jan. 16), TMZ reported that a Colorado teen named Jerome Willisch is claiming that the “Lucid Dreams” rhymer stole the “essential beat and foundation” of his song called “Ice” for his hit single, “Lean Wit Me.”

"Lean Wit Me," which was released on May 23, 2018, is from Juice Wrld’s 2018 album Goodbye & Good Riddance. The video for the song has so far garnered over 36 million views on YouTube.

Apparently, Willisch filed the lawsuit with the help of his parents because he is a minor. The teen producer also goes by the name of Fly Jxy.

Willisch has just filed a copyright for the song earlier this month but hasn’t obtained the legal rights to the tune just yet. Nevertheless, he feels that Juice Wrld used his song without permission and he wants his day in court.

Willisch is seeking an injunction on Juice Wrld's song and monetary damages as well.

Legal matters aside, Juice Wrld is making major moves in the music game. He recently teamed up with Halsey for a remix of her song "Without Me." The 20-year-old artist will also be featured on Rich the Kid's upcoming album, The World Is Yours 2 (due Jan 18).

Finally, Young Thug recently touted Juice Wrld as the best freestyler in the world. "Don't nobody freestyle better than Juice Wrld," Thugger says in an Instagram video. "Nobody in the world. That's on God."

XXL has reached out to Juice Wrld's team for comment.
