English actor Tom Hardy is known for his roles in The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Warrior and The Revenant, but before making his film debut in 2001's Black Hawk Down, the actor was rapping with his friend DJ Eddie Too Tall.

On Thursday (Jan. 18), Hardy's 1999 mixtape, Falling on Your Ass in 1999, made its way to Reddit after being uploaded to Bandcamp earlier this month. Rapping under the name Tommy No. 1, Hardy holds his own over beats from Eddie Too Tall, who is actually Writer and Director, Ed Tracy.

The 18-track project features the typical late-1990s hip-hop production with heavy drums and tons of classic samples. On "Wiser," Hardy raps over the Godfather theme with a flow similar to a Jedi Mind Tricks' track.

While Hardy's rap days are probably behind him, the actor still has love for the music. In 2016, Hardy revealed a line from Bobby Shmurda's "Hot Nigga" almost made the cut for The Revenant.

The actor also previously discussed his early rap career, telling BBC, "I started out rapping when I was 14 or 15." But according to Hardy, he wasn't very good and as a white guy from a middle-class neighborhood, it was "a very hard sell."

Hardy added, "I used to be with the guy who managed Leela James and Lauryn Hill, Pras, the Fugees and all that. I worked out with (Grammy winning producers) Warren Riker and Gordon Williams. I've recorded loads of stuff but it's never been released."
