Virginia-bred songstress Kali Uchis has been making quite a name for herself due to her collaborations with some of the bigger names in modern music. She returns with her latest track, "After the Storm," with assistance from Tyler, The Creator and Bootsy Collins of Earth, Wind & Fire. The song will appear on her upcoming album, Fool's Paradise.

"Did you ever wonder/Yeah, do you ever wonder," Kali artfully sings on the chorus. "What he might be going through on his own/And the demons that he's facing alone."

Tyler also raps on the track. "Sun is beaming on me like headlights beaming on Bambi," he spits, starting off a clever metaphor. "Now let's pretend the street is the room and you are a Camry/'Cause your drama candid."

Kali has been working hard throughout her career, and played a part in one of 2017's biggest songs. Daniel Caesar's "Get You" also featured Kali's touch, and sent her voice all around the world. "Get You" is also nominated for a best R&B Performance Grammy, so even better news may lie in Kali's future.

Tyler, The Creator and Kali are also frequent collaborators. The pair worked on the song "Perfect" a few years ago from Tyler's Cherry Bomb album, and they also shot the video together. They then wrote "See You Again," a cut from Tyler's more recent Flower Boy, leading to a performance of the song on late-night television.
